A huge THANK YOU to the GOOSE PATROL VOLUNTEERS who found 5 nests, removed 28 eggs and then destroyed the nests.
HOWEVER …. Since there is the possibility of late nesting pairs and re-nesting by the pairs that were nesting the Goose Patrollers are asking that everyone continue to look for geese loitering in an area.

IN ADDITION …. all members need to be involved in discouraging any and all geese from remaining in our area.
The DNR uses the term “harass” however “IRRITATE” may better convey what we seek.
We are not allowed to use fireworks or aggressively attack them.
GETTING CLOSE ALONG WITH NOISE AND SLAPPING THE WATER THAT GETS THEM TO FLY SOMEWHERE
ELSE IS OUR DESIRED GOAL.
