It may be too cool for planting a garden this April, but it’s the perfect time for planting fish 🐟 A total of 82 gallons of fathead minnows were planted in the lake at the boat launch on Monday. At about 2,000 minnows per gallon, that makes for about 164,000 fish! They should be showing up around the lake within a week. The purpose of planting minnows is to provide food for our predator fish, particularly bass, crappies and perch.
