THANK YOU to the 356 Members who voted and expressed their opinion on our recent dues proposal. 76% of our total 466 eligible Members voted, exceeding the 60% quorum requirement. We received 276 yes votes and 80 no votes, totaling 77.5% in favor of the increase, exceeding the 67% (2/3) passage requirement.
Effective with the 2019 maintenance dues assessment, due on April 1, 2019, Member dues will increase from $150 to $200. These additional funds are desperately needed to reinstate budget expenditures cut in 2018, and provide the necessary funds to meet our ongoing weed control needs.
Our Aqua Advisory Committee and Board of Directors will be meeting with Professional Lake Management (PLM) this week to review 2018 treatments, the spring and fall plant survey results, evaluate the 2019 weed control plan and anticipated timing for a costly Eurasian Watermilfoil (EWM) whole lake treatment. A report on this activity will be presented at the LSA Board Meeting at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the Pavilion. Members are welcome and encouraged to attend Board meetings.
Please feel free to contact a Board member at any time with concerns.
Thank you again for your participation and support of our Association!
