Members should now be in receipt of their 2018 LSA Board of Directors Election Ballot and Notice of Annual Meeting. Out of concern for signatures being seen through the United States Postal Service, this year a validation slip is included in your mailing. The signature requirement on the return envelope should have been covered with a white label, but that label is missing from the mailing. Members should print and sign their names to the validation slip included below their ballot, and insert the validation slip separately in their return envelope OUTSIDE of the ballot envelope. This will maintain the anonymity of your ballot while validating your vote. By completing this procedure, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SIGN THE RETURN ENVELOPE AS NOTED. However, if you do not sign either the enclosed validation slip or the envelope your ballot will not be valid and your vote(s) will not count. We apologize for any confusion this has caused.
You should vote for up to 4 candidates on your ballot. The 2 candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to a 2-year term and the remaining 2 candidates will be elected to a 1-year term. No additional marks or writing should be included on your ballot. As outlined in our Bylaws, the vacant Board position will be “filled by appointment made by the remaining directors.” The Board will accept nominations and applications until August 5, 2018 for this upcoming vacant position. If you wish to be considered to fill this Board vacancy you should contact a Board member or email info@indianlakes.org and provide a biography and explanation of your interest and purpose. This must be done separately from the ballot.
If you have any questions regarding this year’s voting procedure, please do not hesitate to contact a Board member or Gerow Management.
